We had the pleasure of attending the Formby Befriending scheme coffee club for their upcoming Easter Celebrations, which we had sponsored.

We chatted with some of the attendees and supported the volunteers in handing out Easter eggs, which were a welcomed treat.

The Formby befriending scheme holds regular coffee clubs and provides support and companionship to older people who may have become isolated. It was lovely to see some of the people that we had met at the Christmas party again, aswell as meet some new faces from our local community too.

The Formby befriending scheme has a team of incredible volunteers who work extremely hard in keeping the coffee mornings going & it was lovely to be able to help and support them again and appreciate the wonderful work they do.

The fundraiser

Last Christmas we partnered with various local schools to raise £1000 for the Royal British Legion. School children were provided with a Poppy template which they used to create unique designs. For every Poppy received, Cockbain and Associates donated £1 to the Royal British region. These Poppies were then displayed across the Cockbain and Associates glass-front office for the whole community to see.

The Ykids Believe Awards is an annual ceremony that challenges the commonly poor representation of young people by bringing to light those who are examples of resilience, selflessness, and the service of others. Cockbain and Associates became a headline sponsor for the 2022 event and we are now aiming to increase our support for further ceremonies.
